Description:

ABOUT BANKVIC:

We are the small bank of big opportunity.
We exist to serve those who protect and serve our community. Founded 50 years ago by Victoria Police officers, we have since grown to over 120,000 members from the police, health, and emergency services. Because we’re small, we each have a greater impact. We challenge ourselves to try new things. We aren’t afraid to own our mistakes, or call something out.
As a certified B Corporation, we are committed transparency, accountability, and working in the best interest of our members, community and each other. Being a small bank also means you can get involved in a broad range of work and gain exposure to parts of the organisation outside of your own team.
If you’re seeking to make a difference and find purpose in your work, it’s time to join us at BankVic.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Senior Relationship Manager, you will provide quality financial discussions to all current and potential members. You will grow and nurture the relationships with member organisations and accredited brokers who require support when communicating with BankVic.
As a BankVic ambassador, you will represent BankVic at events to build and maintain strong brand awareness and grow lending opportunities through collaboration with future partner members and accredited brokers.
This role requires work to be performed outside of normal office hours and travel to regional areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regularly visit core partner sites for new recruit presentations, hospital departments and police stations to represent, interact, and service new and existing members.
  • Maintain broker relationships, including the sourcing, onboarding, accreditation and day to day guidance.
  • Manage onsite visits to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
  • Assist and support in marketing campaigns and product launches.
  • Manage referrals and complete daily administrative requirements.
  • Be actively involved with local communities and member charities.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Tertiary level qualification in a business-related discipline preferred or equivalent experience that can be verified.
  • RG146 Tier 2 certification (or be prepared to undertake such training).
  • Sound knowledge of the financial services regulatory framework, including AFSL and ACL obligations and Privacy legislation.
  • Experience in public speaking and presenting to a varied number of attendees preferred.
  • Strong member focus with excellent knowledge and understanding of customer service techniques.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to manage conflict and collaborate with others.
