We are looking for a Relationship Manager in Drayton Valley!
Reporting to the Market Director, your primary goal is to deliver personalized advice to commercial and agriculture members. As a Relationship Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits and be accountable for sales, service and growth of that portfolio. Using your commercial and agriculture experience, you will cultivate strong working relationships with potential and existing members, the retail branch network, local business owners, and members of the professional community.

More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining effective sales and marketing efforts to maximize Small Business and Commercial Loan growth, deposit growth and sales of peripheral products to help our members succeed in business
  • Proactively building relationships with existing and future members
  • Staying up to date on lending and deposit services, products, policies, and legislation
  • Maximizing our existing portfolio including loan and deposit growth
  • Developing and submitting renewal applications
  • Recommending rates within discretionary limits and approving loans within lending authority
  • Evaluating requests on the basis of policy, risk, and profitability

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Two - five years of progressive lending and Commercial Banking experience
  • Demonstrated ability in all facets of credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over a three to seven year period
  • Business Banking experience including business development, underwriting, compliance, and a basic knowledge of portfolio management
  • Experience working and developing relationships with members, potential members, influential community people and employees
  • University degree in a business discipline or sufficient experience in lieu of education
