  • Proven experience in managing complex, high profile, software delivery projects.
  • You will bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, being both a guide and a supporter, removing obstacles and keeping the teams focused on successful delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience working proactively and collaboratively with an ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and escalate when necessary.
  • You are a resilient, positive communicator, comfortable with delivering clear and concise project updates while ensuring risks and issues are managed carefully.
  • You are comfortable using tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, Visio or equivalent toolsets.
  • Availability to work on site or remotely as required for deployment activity
  • Availability to work nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays when sufficient notice is given

This role is key in driving the implementation and expansion of our Digital Products as part of Resonates growth strategy. Our products and services are part of the delivery of rail services to rail’s customers – they are relied on every day to operate the railway and provide reliable and safe transport. To deliver systems in this environment demands a robust approach to design, assurance and benefits. We deliver iteratively and we welcome change: priorities for the operational teams may change, or dependencies may be delayed, but that does not stop us delivering benefits to our customers. Our delivery method requires strong planning, rigour, and leadership, with the benefits of iterative delivery for flexibility and instilling ownership through the technical teams. You will have experience in combining the need for robust project management with an Agile delivery approach. You will be able to focus on customer value and commitments. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a passion for delivering customer benefits to lead the deployments of our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timelines, scope, cost, and quality metrics.
  • Defining and managing the deployment plan for software releases into a live operational environment.
  • Defining project budget forecasts and closely monitoring spend.
  • Effective RAID management ensuring clarity and planning is agreed around mitigations.
  • Producing clear and concise deployment project progress reports which provide internal and external stakeholders with clarity on the status, key risks and issues and progress against plans.
  • Facilitating effective internal and external project progress checkpoints to provide stakeholders with clear project updates.
  • Promoting a culture where customer value is at the core of decision making and flexibility within the deployment teams.
  • Lead and coordinate pre-deployment tasks across various teams, including delivery teams.
  • Arranging access when required to customer sites to support with deployments.
  • Managing internal and external communications with key stakeholders throughout the deployment phase.
  • Responsible for product deployment from functional product acceptance to support and BAU.
  • Ability to prioritise between short-term reactive demands and long-term planning ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering the maximum customer value
