SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering degree
  • Lube and/or packaging plant, maintenance, or project management related experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of LOBP and/or packaging plant operations (blending, packaging, warehousing, and shipping)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and support team activities
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Lean manufacturing
  • Labor relations or supervision

Responsibilities:

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

  • Improve plant efficiency and productivity performance through identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities across all capacity loss categories with an emphasis on mechanical reliability and human factors
  • Analyze, correct, and report plant productivity data to Port Allen LOBP leadership and the Manufacturing Center of Excellence (COE)
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of the Lubes Reliability System (LRS) and support new capital equipment integration

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory standards for employee safety, security, health, and environmental requirements through the execution of all safety programs, Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS), and Personnel Safety Management System (PSMS) tools.
  • Develop processes for analyzing and improving Port Allen LOBP’s packaging and blending efficiency through utilization of data reporting systems like ZARPAC and OSI PI.
  • Support identifying, tracking, and leading packaging and blending reliability projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with packaging operators and maintenance to develop best practice change over, troubleshooting and operational checklists or job aids to drive consistency.
  • Support the maintenance department in the ongoing optimization and updating of spare parts and preventative maintenance (PM) strategies.
  • Lead weekly Reliability Leadership Team (RLT) to align operations and maintenance teams on productivity performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead weekly Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings to determine mechanical bad actor root causes and solutions with more in-depth investigations for major equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with lube plant reliability engineering network to learn and share best practices and align the Port Allen LOBP with network initiatives.
  • Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and outside contractors to improve plant equipment performance and reliability.
  • Support operations in optimizing first time blend/flush accuracy rates with minimizing flush quantities.
