JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Reliability/Technical General Foreman or other appropriate administrative staff, the Reliability Technician is responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance of all equipment at the Ceilings Plus plant in a safe, efficient, cost-effective manner. The technician will work on dayshift and overtime on an as-needed basis. There is the potential for this position to work second shift and weekends, as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience with Trumpf, Accupress and other metal forming equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, electronics, sensors and basic industrial mechanical systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues in a safe manner.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance techniques is preferred.
  • Able to read electrical & mechanical schematics/blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills are required (Email, phone and in-person)
  • Strong desire and ability to learn all aspects of equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communicator with the desire and ability to communicate with equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Recommend improvements in the plant’s preventative maintenance program to improve equipment reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Work safely as a top priority by adhering to the plant’s safety policies and objectives.
  • Complete safety training as required.
  • Willingness to travel (less than 10% of the time) for training.
  • Ensure all repair and preventative maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently and with excellence.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with and supervise 3rd party contractors.
  • Communicate with 3rd party technical support to effectively troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Thoroughly understand root cause of equipment failures and propose preventative methods to reduce equipment failure rate.
