You will provide a scheme-based housing management service, ensuring effective management of vacant units, estate management and compliance with building maintenance requirements including periodic testing to meet Health and Safety requirements. You will also:

  • Induct new tenants and identify housing support needs.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and teams.
  • Review wellbeing and safety plans; refer for support as needed.
  • Make welfare calls for short-term needs.
  • Assist in maintaining Erosh and RNIB accreditations.
  • Join annual service charge meetings with tenants.
  • Address and coordinate responses to anti-social behaviour complaints.
  • Help develop and sustain tenant consultation processes.
  • Facilitate social activities, manage guest room lettings, and collect TV license fees.
  • Attend case conferences and similar meetings.
  • Consult with tenants on scheme ‘wish list’ purchases.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours rota

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO…

We have 23 sheltered schemes in Rhondda Cynon Taff, available to people aged over 60. We also have several supported housing schemes for people who need additional social care.
As the Scheme Co-ordinator, you will be at the center of a customer-focused sheltered housing service that ensures an ethos of independence and empowerment to all residents. Your exceptional people skills will enable our residents to thrive as part of the community while providing them with all the support to facilitate independent living.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…

To thrive in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Knowledge of tenancy management, including ASB and neighbour disputes
  • Experience of working with the general public, particularly people of pensionable age and an awareness of age-related issues, including Safeguarding
  • An awareness of Health and Safety
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages and IT systems
  • The ability to work confidentiality in line with current Data Protection arrangements
  • A commitment to a customer focused service
  • The ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • A commitment to working as part of a team
  • A full driving license and access to a ca
