POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a veterinary professional with strong communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding client service to join our team as a part-time/casual Front Line Advocate. This position reports directly to our Communications Specialist. Our Front Line Advocates are highly-trained and experienced veterinary professionals who are a seamless extension of a clinic team, bringing exceptional care to clients and patients. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the clients of various veterinary practices across Canada via phone and email, while working from home.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years veterinary clinic experience working as a veterinary technologist, receptionist, team lead, or similar role
- Must reside in Canada
- Must be proficient in Cornerstone
- Has a computer with strong internet connection and a good headset
- High proficiency with computer technology, including veterinary software
- Ability to learn computer programs quickly
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Superior customer service skills
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion when interacting with clients
- Demonstrates great attention to detail
- Passionate about helping pets and clients
- Demonstrates accountability and self-awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Takes initiative to prioritize tasks
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions effectively
- Google Suite proficiency is an asset

Responsibilities:
DUTIES
- Answers incoming calls
- Addresses client questions and concerns
- Makes outbound calls such as follow-ups and reminders
- Responds to client email inquiries
- Schedules appointments
- Documents client communications in medical records
- Educates clients about clinic products and services
- Updates client records
- Assists veterinary team members with clerical and administrative tasks as needed
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with veterinary teams
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respects and maintains client confidentiality
- Remains calm in stressful situations and adapts to differing clinic environments
- Remains knowledgeable about clinic procedures and refers to manager, veterinarian, or technologist when appropriate
- Represents VetGo in a professional and respectful manner while interacting with veterinary teams and their clients
- Fulfills obligations by demonstrating integrity, reliability, and responsibility
