Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- During your 6 months internship, you will be dedicated to the Statutory Department to gain experience in a corporate environment
- The role requires collaboration with internal (Controllership, Tax, Sourcing, FP&A, Fixed Assets Team, Directors etc.) stakeholders as well as externals (KPMG, PwC etc.) of GE
- You will have the chance to learn the connection between business transactions and accounting to get an overview knowledge of the financial departments, functions and how they cooperate with each other
- You will contribute to the preparation of the Statutory financial statements based on local accounting rules. This may include preparation of data sheets for the supplementary notes, support the legal entity management, posting the stat to GAAP adjustments to the statutory reporting system
- You will learn how to use ERPs and other related tools, also to understand the advantages and disadvantages of having many different enterprise systems at the same time
Essential requirements:
- Having active student enrollment for minimum 6 months, ongoing final semester is preferred
- You will be critical in delivering quality and punctual work
- Being proactive, asking questions and going beyond your comfort zone
- 30 hours/week working availability is preferred with flexible schedule
- As English is the company language, written and verbal fluency is required
- Basic Excel skills
- Ready to learn and develop oneself, improving technical and soft skills as well
Great to Haves:
- Additional language is an advantage
- Worked or had projects/case studies (at the university) previously in the field of finance
- Strong accounting skills/theoretical knowledge, preferably more than one semester of Accounting/Finance subject
- Knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP/ other GAAPs
- Advanced Excel skill / ERP experience
