The Fin Ops team in total is around 100 people across all parts of the company. This role sits within SEUK – which is responsible for UK & Ireland operation.
Role and Responsibilities
What will this role achieve?
The role of the Reporting & Pricing Analyst is to manage the internal pricing system, ensuring compliance, accuracy, efficiency and adherence to pricing policies. The Analyst is responsible for setting up, monitoring and analysing Samsung UK & Ireland’s pricing data, and supporting the Reporting & Pricing Manager with reporting requirements encompassing finance operations areas.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Pricing (80%)
- Responsible for maintaining front-end (dealer margin) promotional pricing and for reviewing current pricing strategies.
- Ensure the integrity of pricing and product master data in key systems, as well as to maintain the processes that support the data quality.
- Set up system price data, including RRP, contract pricing, dealer discount ratio.
- Ongoing monitoring, with the production of weekly reports and a review of overcharge details.
- Provide regular updates to the business by distributing open order data to SCM/Sales teams and analysing overcharge details.
- Business partnering with Sales Managers and Product Managers in a timely manner.
- Resolve pricing queries from Accounts Receivable team
Reporting (20%)
- Support Reporting & Pricing Manager producing HQ/Europe Office’s reporting data.
- Manage data, including:
- Track and report Finance Operations’ KPI dashboard, and Customer Spend (Sales Deduction) Monthly tracker
Skills and Qualifications
What we need for this role
One of the main objectives within the team is to keep customer overcharge claims to a minimum, so the ability to drive for results with a ‘can do’ attitude is necessary within the role.
Due to the varied nature of the role, you will have contact with most teams across the business, so good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workloads are essential.
Hard/soft skills needed for this role
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP) is a plus.
