Description:

The Chronic Brain Injury Program (CBI) is a campus-wide research institute connecting faculty, staff, and trainees in over 10 colleges and 30 departments to address the individual, systems, and societal challenges of chronic brain injury. CBI provides funding, teaming activities, administrative support, and infrastructure to its members. CBI also creates pathways for collaboration with industry, government, and community partners. CBI is developing a portfolio of education, outreach, and resource development activities which are critical for research success.
CBI is seeking an experienced Research Administration Management Analyst to support research programming focused on brain injury topics. The Research Administration Management Analyst will report to the Associate Director, will collaborate with a small team of staff and faculty, and will liaise with campus groups including scientists, clinicians, external partners, sponsored programs staff, and students.

The Research Administration Management Analyst will conduct exploratory research, program evaluation, and landscape assessments that support faculty and trainee research, research education and professional training, and key program operations including research cores, services, and administrative grants. Primary focus areas include:

  • Informing an evidence-based strategy for, and evaluating performance of, educational programs such as research training fellowships, workforce development certificate programs, and related coursework;
  • Developing and executing an analytics framework to guide research support resources such as core services, internally-funded grants project management, and data elements for grant-writing; and
  • Evaluating programming and center outcomes, including using internal and external data sources to collect and analyze research funding, publications, engagement, visibility, and operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in health science or administrative field, or equivalent experience in academic, research, and/or clinical settings
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent writing and organization skills
  • Good command of MS Office and web-based tools for collecting, assessing, and reporting data

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in related field or 4-8 years of related experience, including research training
  • 2-4 years of grant-writing experience
  • Excellent command of tools for collecting, assessing, and reporting data
  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership abilities

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, business, or administration

The pay range for this job profile is $55,100 - $72,400. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on multiple factors including internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.

Responsibilities:

40%: Supporting the Associate Director to evaluate strategy, operations, and growth of research and educational support services, including research cores and training programs.
25%: Identifying, researching, and writing grant applications in support of center programming and services.
25%: Collecting data and analyzing key metrics for center reporting and evaluation.
10%: Coordinate with and support CBI teammates to deliver research, educational, and outreach programming including events, seminars, and content.
