Description:

Project Manager (Research Administration Management Analyst) to plan, lead and manage the Alliance Standardized Translational Omics Resource (ASTOR) and breast cancer translational research activities

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Level Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in public health, health sciences, biological sciences, or related field
  • 2 years experience required, 4 preferred in project administration or management, preferably translational or health services research projects
  • Considerable experience in a research capacity preferred; experience with collection, management, and analysis of research data strongly desired; experience with collaborative research strongly desired.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates project teams across multiple principal investigators (PIs) and disciplines to encourage and optimize incorporation of ASTOR resources into research at Ohio State and elsewhere.
  • Monitors and advance processes for identification of eligible participants as well as recruitment and on-going management of research participants across all research locations
  • Oversees, guides and participates in collection of clinical research data including obtaining patient informed consent and primary data collection
  • Oversight of (student) research assistant team including recruitment, onboarding, training, and quality assessment
  • Maintains and updates regulatory requirements, including development, preparation, submission, revision, and maintenance of protocols
  • Monitors and evaluates protocol activity to ensure compliance with department, university, sponsor and federal policies, rules and regulations
  • Maintenance, optimization, and ongoing development of existing RedCap database (no prior RedCap knowledge required, but useful)
  • Participate in strategic planning as well as success metric development and tracking
  • Develops communication plans, messages, and makes project-related presentations to various audiences (internal and external), collaborates with investigators to write abstracts and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at scientific conferences, workshops and seminars, and grant submissions.
