You will have a sound administration experience, an understanding of the commercial clinical trials management environment and ability to acquire an understanding of regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

As a Research Administrator you will provide effective and efficient clinical research administration support in the Gastroenterology Research Unit.
Your high-level support will enable our principal investigators, co-investigators, study coordinators and research nurses to maintain a successful research profile.

Key tasks of the role include:

  • Ensuring the Unit operates efficiently and in compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Managing the portfolio of clinical trials, commercial and lead investigator projects, including all Health New Zealand - Southern project accounts.
  • Acting as a liaison between trial participants, clinical research nurses and the broader research team.
  • Organising, minuting and following up on weekly and monthly research team meetings.
  • Liaising with international sponsor start-up teams, attending Investigator meetings, and initiation visits, as required.
  • Overseeing preparation of all commercial clinical research trial budgets.
  • Overseeing all financial aspects of the Gastroenterology Research Group account alongside the Gastroenterology Research Unit Manager, and all clinical research project accounts held by Health New Zealand – Southern.
