Description:
Major/Essential Functions
Independently review all grant/contract proposal documentation submitted through electronic grants/contracts systems for consistency with University and sponsor policies.
Works with faculty and department adminsitration to ensure the application is reviewed accordingly prior to submission.
Review all inbound awards for accuracy and authorize the establishment and extension of sponsored accounts, including the processing of no-cost extensions and carryover requests.
Negotiates outgoing/incoming subaward agreements.
Assist Academic Departments in the proper administration of sponsored projects. Respond to requests from faculty/staff regarding agency guidelines and relevant institutional policy/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 6 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated familiarity with sponsored award portfolio
Demonstrated ability to investigate unforeseen questions and scenarios to resolve in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty and staff in area of expertise
Ability to make adminsitrative/procedural decisions and judgements
Aptitude to analyze budgetary line items for compliance with budget guidelines.
Pay Statement
