Job purpose
Contribute to Euromoney’s awards research and benchmarking across corporate, private, Islamic, retail and wholesale banking.
You will be responsible for measuring the performance of key market participants within this industry and providing written insight and analysis about the results of your research.
You will ensure that Euromoney maintains its unique reputation and voice and that its benchmarking and analysis remain the most robust and credible within this industry.
You will benefit from unique access to the C-suite of the top 1,000 global banks as well as the thousands of banks and corporates that engage with our research and market surveys. You will use this access to information and data - plus your own market expertise - to provide critical insights to our audiences.

Key Objectives

• Responsible for research for rankings, awards and benchmarking programmes
• Leverage the insights gained from our benchmarking programs (e.g. submissions & subsequent interviews) to identify the trends and themes to produce reports
• Lead pitch meetings and interviews with bank’s C-suite and senior management as part of the benchmarking process
• Develop deep relationships with the key people and participants within this sector
• Regularly meet with market participants to drive engagement with our benchmarking programmes (and/or provide feedback on their performance in these programmes)
• Act as an ambassador for Euromoney expanding our brand equity within this dynamic area of finance
• At all times, uphold the reputation of Euromoney, ensuring the research is of the highest credibility and objectivity

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of global banking markets
• 3+ years’ experience in research, financial journalism, or as a bank analyst, ex-banker or banking consultant
• Excellent client facing skills - credibility with the banking C-suite and a track record in meeting with and presenting to them
• Ideally, experience of similar benchmarking products within the financial and professional services industry e.g. similar business intelligence firms (e.g. insights, data and/or rankings) or rating agency, regulatory body, strategic consulting firm etc.
• Unquestionable judgement - fulfilled roles that rely on demonstrating the highest levels of integrity
• A track record of producing engaging and impactful content – across all formats
• Excellent qualitative and quantitative analysis skills or experience in data journalism
