Overview:
The Minority Business Development Agency’s (MBDA) mission is to promote the growth and global competitiveness of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) in order to unlock full economic potential.
Background:
Committed to providing the programs, services, and initiatives needed for businesses to achieve economic success and prosperity.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive analyses of complex requirements in an effort to inquire, examine, find or revise facts, principles, and theories for internal use by an organization.
  • Prepares investigative reports entailing the examination of public records or other specific information sources to reach a conclusive decision point.
  • Considers numerous factors, such as whether the product is currently being produced in the United States, whether substitution of the product is possible, whether qualification requirements affect the requestor’s ability to use domestic products, inventories, and whether the requested product is under development by a U.S. producer who will imminently be able to produce it in marketable quantities and any other relevant factors.
  • Reports to a Project Manager.
  • Works in the MBDA Office of Data Research & Evaluation, supporting its Information Clearinghouse, a repository of data and research supporting evidence-based understanding of Minority Business Enterprises.
  • Responsible for sourcing new material that meets the research needs of MBDA and its stakeholders, evaluating it for quality and relevancy against MBDA criteria, and assisting in organizing and cataloging it to be easily accessed by the public.
  • Assesses quality, relevance, and licensing of a research and data related to Minority Business Enterprises.
  • Assists with MBDA research and evaluation efforts on an as-needed basis.
  • Experience with information management, library science, or related fields a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work both independently and in lead teams of analysts.
  • Minimum experience requirement is four years of working in an analytical and/or research environment.

Clearance: Public Trust Education:
BS/BA in analytical disciplines.
