Job Description
The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a Research Analyst for a full-time, contract (until March 31, 2025) position. Reporting to the Senior Scientist in charge of the project, a Research Analyst is required to support quantitative research on adolescent substance use prevention for a CIHR-funded multisite project. The successful candidate will support sample recruitment, data collection, data management and analyses, collaboration with key stakeholders, literature searches, and the development of reports and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. This position will involve some travel within Ontario. The successful candidate will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. The successful candidate will be based in Sarnia, Ontario.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor (honours) degree in psychology, public health, or related disciplines, in combination with at least one (1) year of related experience in quantitative research. Previous research experience in the area of adolescent substance use, research ethics board applications, proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with data analysis and relevant statistical software for this purpose, and experience conducting literature searches and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication are required for this position. The candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset. Successful candidate must pass a vulnerable sector check.
Please note: This non-union position is a 7-month contract (until March 31, 2025).
