WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Research Analyst who is interested in taking data and insights to the next level, who loves to trend spot, be challenged and transform syndicated, secondary, and primary research into actionable insights. As a Research Analyst at Momentum, you will be work on and/or be responsible for creating consumer profiles from Syndicated Research to help build and round out target personas, curating insights from secondary and primary research, get to work on a variety of brands and new business, and be challenged and grow every day. This is the perfect role for someone who is curious, a multi-tasker and has never encountered a problem they don’t want to solve. A great position for someone who wants a career in market research and consumer behavior.
HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)
- B.A. or B.S. degree, with major in marketing or communications a plus
- A minimum of 2 years of marketing or media research experience with a solid understanding of the industry
- Experience in survey design, data analysis and understanding of statistical techniques
- Strong skills and knowledge of syndicated research tools such as IMS/Clear Decisions, MRI Simmons, GWI, as well other resources like WARC, Statista, Placer AI, etc.
- Knowledge of Commerce/Shopper Research a plus (Circana, IRI, Numerator)
- Proven ability to interpret syndicated data, express the implications of analysis, and develop key takeaways to help elevate the research to the “next level”
- General knowledge of primary research, including qualitative and quantitative projects (survey writing and programming)
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong project management (multi-tasking is a must!), organizational, strategic thinking skills, a problem solver and someone who loves to seek out new trends
- Proactive, a hand raiser, and curious
- Detail-oriented and articulate with strong communications skills
- Comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated and capable of both working independently, but also enjoys being a team player
Responsibilities:
- Working with internal and external teams to provide research, business intelligence and analysis for existing and new business for Momentum
- Creating consumer profiles from Syndicated Research to help build and round out target personas
- Gathering and managing secondary information
- Derive insights from primary and secondary research to drive strategy across competencies – Sponsorship, Experiential, Shopper, Finance, CPG, B2B
- Developing, writing, and presenting strategic recommendations that directly address specific research questions
- Designing, managing and reporting on primary research, including qualitative and quantitative projects
- Programming survey research and analyzing survey results data, including frequencies, crosstabs, and tests of statistical significance
- Monitoring and reporting relevant trend and competitive information and mining insights on a scheduled basis
- Authoring reports containing actionable recommendations
- Organizing and maintaining research information
