JOB DESCRIPTION: Research Analyst - S&RD
FactSet is a leader in providing research and analytical tools to finance professionals. FactSet offers instant access to accurate financial data and analytics around the world. FactSet clients combine hundreds of databases from industry-leading suppliers into a single powerful information system.
S&RD Symbology drives ID resolution on Factset. The team is responsible in providing reference data associated with securities, such as listing status, security types, primary listing flag, and listing exchanges among others. Data integrity, comprehensiveness of coverage and timeliness of data delivery are the main goals of the team.
S&RD Security Master is responsible for all securities and corporate actions that has material impact to the company. These responsibilities include the maintenance of: Global Security Master and Global Mergers and Acquisitions Corporate Action. The team ensures that all active equity issues capitalization is included, issue/entity linkage are fully supported, pricing/shares outstanding is maintained, and issue driven identifications (CUSIP/SEDOL/ISIN) are resolved. Data integrity, comprehensiveness of coverage and timeliness of data delivery are the main goals of the team.
As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for collating, maintaining, and updating relevant fields in the database with accurate information in accordance with the defined work process. You will be analyzing these content sets by reviewing official updates from our trusted sources that can be in the form of feeds, corporate action mails, press releases, and other reports; thereby making it available to FactSet clients in real-time and in top quality.
You will report to the Team Lead and assist in meeting the team’s business goals by meeting your individual targets. As an individual contributor, you shall be responsible for your own performance in all assigned tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in verbal and written English
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications
  • Excellent web-based research and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Can work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Team player and possesses customer-centric mindset
  • Willing to be assigned in any shift

Desired Skills (advantage but not required):

  • Experience or background in the financial industry
  • Experience or background in handling financial content
  • Interest in financial and corporate markets
