POSITION SUMMARY
The Research Analyst is a member of Sequoia’s Asset Management organization whose primary role is to support senior members of the research team. In this role, the Research Analyst will independently perform components of a research project as directed by a senior member of the research team. The role may be involved in designing certain aspects of research projects and independently conducts work complementary to the overall research objectives. The primary objective is to organize and provide helpful data to the decision-makers who buy and sell securities for the firm.
Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree finance or Accounting.
- High competence in Microsoft Excel, as well as competence with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Must be familiar with pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Must work well in a small, entrepreneurial, and collegial environment and with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Analytical aptitude, attention to detail and genuine interest in the efficient collection and organization of data will help ensure success.
- Interest in investments and willing to deep dive into various industries and segments.
- Clear communication skills.
- Progress toward CFA charter preferred

Responsibilities:
- Collecting, organizing, and presenting data related to existing and potential investments.
- Updating monthly alternative investment data sheets, producing, and maintaining a variety of portfolio analysis reports on existing client holdings and portfolios, supporting special research and analytical projects.
- The analyst will also assist with the creation of PowerPoint presentations.
