Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Research and Finance Administrator’s main responsibilities are to ensure that financial aspects of the Department are administered to the highest standard alongside a team of other finance roles. Working closely, and directly supporting, the Department’s Research and Finance Manager and Department Operations Manager, you will support departmental accounting and research operations, delivering high-quality post-award support across a portfolio of research grants.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
You will be working closely with the Research and Finance Manager supporting and advising academic staff about financial and post-award policies and procedures including budget forecasting, identifying inadmissable spend and assisting in the preparation of audit responses. You will also be responsible for ensuring the financial procedures run smoothly for the Department and providing a customer-focused service.
