Department of Physics

Position Summary:

• Assembling and testing custom-built radio astronomy instrumentation
• Ensuring data integrity from instrument installations
• Documenting the development and installation of instrumentation
• Assisting with instrument deployment logistics and operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year prior experience with radio astronomy instrumentation and electronics
• Prior experience in field work at a minimum of 2 remote locations
• Familiarity with Python programming language
• Bachelor’s degree in physics
• Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
