Department of Chemistry (Professor Hanadi Sleiman)

Position Summary:

  • Perform biological in vitro studies on nucleic acid delivery systems developed in the Sleiman lab.
  • Conduct research on the synthesis and biological studies of nucleic acid nanostructures that specifically target cancer proteins.
  • Perform cellular studies, run gels, synthesize and assemble DNA nanostructures.
  • Purify and characterize DNA structures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic.

Experience and education:

  • BSc in Chemistry or Neuroscience
  • Strong expertise in oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, characterization, and nucleic acid nanotechnology.
  • Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques (PCR, DNA enzymes, etc.)
  • Expertise in cell culture techniques.

Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
