Working under the supervision of Dr. Tracie Barnett, the Research Assistant will participate in a review of the relevant literature, preparation of presentations and manuscripts and coordination of study activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screen titles and abstracts for relevance to the research questions and objectives.
- Read and evaluate full-text articles to determine suitability for inclusion in the review.
- Extract and organize key data from selected articles into a structured format.
- Synthesize findings from the literature to identify trends, gaps, and areas for further research.
- Prepare literature review drafts, including summaries of articles and synthesis of findings.
- Participate in regular meetings with the research team to discuss progress and challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of search strategies, articles reviewed, and decisions made.
- Assist in the development of manuscripts for publication based on the literature review findings.
- Stay updated on new publications and developments in the field throughout the duration of the project.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role
- Excellent administrative skills
- Knowledge of research methods, in particular literature review methods
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- A degree in the field related to the study is preferred
- English: Full Professional Proficiency
