Working under the supervision of Dr. Tracie Barnett, the Research Assistant will participate in a review of the relevant literature, preparation of presentations and manuscripts and coordination of study activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screen titles and abstracts for relevance to the research questions and objectives.
  • Read and evaluate full-text articles to determine suitability for inclusion in the review.
  • Extract and organize key data from selected articles into a structured format.
  • Synthesize findings from the literature to identify trends, gaps, and areas for further research.
  • Prepare literature review drafts, including summaries of articles and synthesis of findings.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the research team to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of search strategies, articles reviewed, and decisions made.
  • Assist in the development of manuscripts for publication based on the literature review findings.
  • Stay updated on new publications and developments in the field throughout the duration of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Knowledge of research methods, in particular literature review methods
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A degree in the field related to the study is preferred
  • English: Full Professional Proficiency
