Position Summary:
The candidate will:
Support the principal investigators with grant applications and ethics submissions.
Provide informal supervision to doctoral students (initial reading of their research writing, scholarship competitions)
Collaborate with the principal investigator on scientific publication (if needed)
Conduct literature reviews on subjects related to the laboratory’s research projects or grant applications.
Collaborate on systematic reviews and meta-analyses
Conduct retrospective reviews of medical charts at the douglas hospital
Contribute to the preparation and writing of grant applications
Assist in the preparation of presentations and contribute to the laboratory’s knowledge translation activities
Provide support to other members of the research team and graduate students
Keep track of project budgets and manage expenses
Qualifications:
Masters’ degree or Phd in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Sociology, Public Health, etc.), or other relevant discipline. Specific experience in the fields of suicide and longitudinal research.
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and French
Knowledge of good research practice
Motivation to learn
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to guide graduate students
Strong teamwork skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Knowledge of longitudinal statistical models and good statistical skills
