Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Research Assistant position at AllianceChicago will have the exciting opportunity for in-depth experience with
a network of community health centers (CHCs) and leveraging Health Information Technology (HIT) to promote
health equity through research and quality improvement. The primary responsibilities of the Research Assistant
are to support the implementation of study methods and dissemination of study results and to provide general
support for multiple projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in the social, behavioral, or health sciences or in a related field of research is preferred
- Prior work experience in research preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred

Responsibilities:
• Support administrative tasks associated with successful implementation of research studies
including managing and responding to study-related communications; attending study meetings;
scheduling of internal and external meetings; developing and sharing agendas; and preparation
and sharing of meeting minutes
- Assist with coordination of recruitment and engagement of CHCs in pre- and post-award research
- Support development and submission of Institutional Review Board qualitative and quantitative study
protocols
- Adhere to quantitative and qualitative study procedures outlined in associated protocols
- Participate in primary data collection and support summarization of data/ research results
- Recruit and/or interview study participants as dictated by the needs the study
- Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
- Conduct data validation and report results
- Complete data entry and quality control activities
- Assist with research dissemination activities including fact checking and proofreading
manuscripts, generating graphs and spreadsheets to portray results, and conducting literature
reviews
- Prepare research study presentations, articles, and reports
- Prepare progress reports for the Principal Investigator and/or funding agency
- Adhere to AllianceChicago documentation processes and procedures
- Demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of AllianceChicago
- Other duties as assigned
