Research Assistant

Overview:
The Research Assistant is an entry level position that support projects initiated and conducted by principal investigator(s) including, but not limited to, grant funded research and/or industry sponsored clinical research conducted on site at Cone Health or its affiliated sites. The Research Assistant works closely with study personnel to assist in completing and conducting subject follow-up visits.
Talent Pool: Admin/Clerical
Responsibilities:
Assists with patient study visits including, but not limited to greeting and accompanying research participants to visits; collecting and logging required information (i.e. Blood Pressures, Heart Rate, Weight).-
Collects and coordinates clinical data related to patient eligibility, follow-up, and data submission. Utilizes Electronic Data Capture systems to enter research participant data.-
Collects, prepares, and ships lab specimens per guidelines and study protocols.-
Communicates with research participants as needed to schedule or follow-up regarding follow-up research appointments.

Maintains equipment and lab supplies for department as well as individual studies.-
Provides clerical and administrative support to study personnel.-
Provides regulatory support to include safety reporting and quality initiatives.-
Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required - High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Bachelor?s Degree

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Data entry or research-related experience.
Preferred: Experience working with medical record; Six months to one year related experience.
