YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field required
  • Two years of research-related experience or a post-graduate degree an asset
  • GCP and TCPS-2 (2022) certification required, may be obtained upon hiring
  • Two work or academic references required
  • CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset • Effective research and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • High degree of computer literacy and advanced working knowledge of computer programs, including MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint required. Proficiency in R, SPSS, REDCap database, MS Access an asset.
  • Experience conducting literature reviews, scoping reviews and/or systematic reviews an asset
  • Familiarity with health records an asset

Responsibilities:

Study-specific tasks:

  • Participant recruitment, consent, and enrolment processes
  • Perform data collection as required. Specifically, this may include completing Case Report Forms, chart reviews, and ensuring safe transfer of study samples to the lab.
  • Perform study-specific data analysis. This role will focus on quantitative methods of analysis, though qualitative and mixed methods may also be used.
  • Prepares specimens for shipment, as applicable
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant applications, ethical review (REB) applications, and presentations/posters.
  • Maintain all databases and study-related information to REB standard.

Administrative duties:

  • Assist with organizing and facilitating meetings, interviews, conferences, and other events associated with research activities.
  • Performs study-specific administrative tasks in collaboration with other research personnel as required to ensure successful conduct of study activities. These may include, but are not limited to, e-mailing, documenting meeting minutes, photocopying, booking, and ordering. Other related duties as required to support Critical Care Research Program needs.
