MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in the health sciences or related disciplines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and project details simultaneously
  • Experience writing manuscripts and grant proposals
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Adapt quickly to changing research conditions, deadlines, and priorities
  • Proficiency with various technologies, including data management software, database search engines, online communication tools, spreadsheets, and databases

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in the health sciences or related disciplines
  • Experience and knowledge in conducting clinical trials
  • Experience with the research policies and procedures at the University of Alberta, including the roles of the Research Services Office (RSO) and Research Ethics Board (REB)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordination of multiple studies, maintaining communication with various stakeholders and ensuring timelines and targets are met
  • Aid with the design of studies, including conducting literature reviews and environmental scans
  • Help develop project material including documents, questionnaires, packages
  • Assist with the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications
  • Complete reports for ethics, approval boards, funding agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with department members, including faculty, research staff, administrative staff, residents and students
