Description:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Six years of related and demonstrated work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate’s degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated experience and education.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 1:

Ability to be professional, organized, have good critical thinking skills, good oral written and verbal skills to be able to collect clinical and neurobiological data through various research methods and procedures such as: computer, behavioral and cognitive assessments, and regulatory documents. Processes and summarizes data using scientific statistical techniques.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 2:

Ability to perform study screening on test and visit days as indicted by protocol and PI/ manager.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 3:

Ability to comprehend research protocols and procedures and apply research support as indicated. Ability to collect and enter scientific data and assist research team with excellent computer skills, including and required: Word, Excel, Power Point, TEAMS, etc.
Demonstrated proficiency with REDCap. Demonstrated ability to code and run analysis with Python.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 4:

Ability to prioritize, to work efficiently and effectively. Excellent trouble shooting and multi-tasking ability. Ability to use good judgment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience or related field. Ability to perform additional functions incidental to research activities such as collection of biological samples, electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography, electrocardiography, and pupillometry. Research lab experience focusing on brain research techniques.

Processes and summarizes data using scientific or statistical techniques. Assists in data interpretation and analyses. Reports on status of research activities. 4. Recruits study participants and ensures that subject recruitment and follow-up are completed per protocol procedures. 5. Orders and maintains inventory of supplies. May assist in designing, developing, and modifying research experiments, procedures, or survey instruments. May assist research and support staff. 6. Performs additional functions incidental to research activities.
