Responsibilities:

The School of Arts and Humanities are currently recruiting for a fixed term position in corpus linguistics and law.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide important support as part of an interdisciplinary linguistics and law research project in the following ways:

  • Collect and manage large datasets of written language.
  • Conduct corpus linguistic analysis on written datasets using specialist corpus linguistic software.
  • An appreciation or understanding of law and/or sentencing.
  • Make connections and liaise with external stakeholders and partners.
  • Organise and host small research symposia for academic and non-academic audiences.
  • Disseminate research findings and conferences and co-author research articles for publication.
