Description:
We are seeking a part-time Research Assistant to join the Computing Infrastructure research group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by Aria and is fixed-term for 12 months .
You will contribute to the GLASS project, supporting the development of a high throughput networked system (HTC, not HPC).You will contribute to the development of a dedicated evaluation framework and the management of the project’s cluster. Your role will include the development of methodologies and software to provide tight hardware/software integration for high throughput computing.
You should possess a MSc/MEng in Engineering, Computer Science or other related field, together with established knowledge in computer networks and HTC, significant coding experience (both C++ and Python), experience developing system monitoring frameworks and a record of working in a Linux environment and related scripting languages.
