Description:
Applications are invited for a highly motivated research assistant to join the Brain Tumour Biology Laboratory led by Professor Petra Hamerlik at The University of Manchester. The research assistant will be expected to support members of the group in the completion of the project (e.g., note-keeping, particularly for our human samples).
You will be supporting a project using brain tumour tissue and liquid biopsies for a comprehensive multi-omics characterisation and development of pre-clinical models of brain tumours, including target validation and mechanistic studies.
You will have a qualification at NQF level 6 (such as a bachelor’s degree) in a relevant biological science subject. You should also have substantial experience working with live cells and/or assays such as cell viability assay.
You will be based at the Paterson Research Building in Manchester and will assist in the smooth running of the Brain Tumour Biology Laboratory.
