Description:
We have an exciting opportunity at the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures. We are looking for someone with a passion for balance and looking to use their skills in Sustainability Assessment to make an impact on sustainable research. The successful applicant will join our interdisciplinary team. Your standing and approaches will further strengthen our strong international research profile and our reputation for novel research in balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analysis for sustainability research, focusing on life cycle analysis (LCA) of single-use plastics and their alternatives.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to advance sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Contribute to the writing of research papers and reports for publication in academic journals.
- Engage in outreach activities to promote the Grantham Centre’s mission and research.
Essential Requirements
- A master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting life cycle analysis (LCA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle research datasets and complex models.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- A demonstrable passion for sustainability and environmental issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and/or programming languages used in LCA and sustainability assessment.
