Description:
The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Assistant to aid in an ongoing NIH-sponsored project investigating cognitive outcomes in stroke patients. The position will include participation in training research staff in cognitive testing, quality control monitoring, and data management.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- The candidate will possess initiative and self-motivation to aid in the development and carrying out of procedures aimed at maintaining study protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a team-oriented personality, are required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- Prior experience with cognitive testing or the administration of neuropsychological testing is preferred, but not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience with cognitive testing or the administration of neuropsychological testing is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in protocol management for cognitive testing training and certification in a multi-site, epidemiological, longitudinal research study.
- Execute quality control protocols of cognitive testing and cognitive data collection, and analysis of data.
- Participation in protocol modification and design, materials development, and data aggregation.
