Research Assistant [LKCMedicine]

at  NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The Respiratory and Infectious Disease Programme from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a research assistant to join the Virology team lead by Assoc Prof Tan Boon Huan. The candidate will support the PI in a project which is part of a multi-organisational collaboration supported by the Industrial Alignment Fund. The role will focus on the validation of molecular diagnostics developed by collaborators using a panel of genomic materials extracted from representative viruses and bacteria.
Key Responsibilities:
General housekeeping of laboratory
Procurement and management of chemical inventory
Assay validation for a range of molecular targets
Job Requirements:
At least 6 months experience in molecular diagnostics, virus or bacteria culture
Good writing skills for the preparation of technical protocols and laboratory reports
Good time management
