At the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Chair of Concrete Structures and Infrastructures, subject to allocation of funds, we are filling the following position at the earliest possible date on a temporary basis for the duration of the project “Nature-Demo - Nature-Based Solutions for Demonstrating Climate-Resilient Critical Infrastructure” ending on 2028-04-30:

Responsibilities:

  • conducting research to create digital twins of nature-based solutions using AI models to deal with climate change requirements of built infrastructure - focus on mesoscale flood modeling
  • developing new scientific approaches for AI models to create digital twins
  • developing of predictive models of climate risks of built infrastructure
  • creation of digital twins of structural infrastructure or technical and nature-based solutions for real use cases
  • close cooperation with project partners such as IBM Research, BOKU Vienna
  • supporting the implementation of nature-based solutions in infrastructure projects
  • participation in project meetings, conferences, workshops and colloquia as well as in the seminars and discussions of the chair
  • continuous literature research on the above-mentioned subject area
  • documenting the results in the form of interim and final reports
  • publishing research results at national and international conferences and in international journals
