Your tasks

  • Design and responsible implementation of the research project “Aerodynamic investigations of the innovative lift/propulsion system Vortifer”
  • Relevant research questions on the topic of rotor-vortex-system interaction, wall jet formation and shape optimization
  • Performing simulations and sensitivity studies including validation and verification
  • Developing a system design process and performing optimization as well as feasibility and scalability studies
  • Writing of scientific publications and participation in national and international conferences
  • A doctoral project is welcomed and supported

Your profile

  • Master’s degree or diploma in aerospace/mechanical engineering or comparable field
  • Proved background, depending on the specific research area above, preferably in the research field of fluid dynamics, aerodynamics and modelling & simulation
  • Solid experiences with aerodynamic modelling (above all RANS modelling)
  • Very good knowledge of German or English (C1), both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, high level of initiative/responsibility and good organizational skills
