SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicants should possess knowledge and experience conducting experimental research and quantitative data collection, scoring, and analysis. We particularly welcome candidates with research experience in the field of human memory, eyewitness memory and/or investigative interviewing.
  • Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology). We particularly welcome candidates with a PhD in a relevant field (or working towards obtaining a PhD).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, scoring, coding, and analysing quantitative data for experimental studies on eyewitness memory and investigative interviewing of crime witnesses.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of papers for presentation at regional, national or international conferences and for publication in peer review journals.
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to the research, planning work to agreed specifications, time and quality standards.
  • Attend and contribute to research/subject group meetings.
  • Contribute to a supportive working environment and develop productive working relationships with other team members.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
