  • Conduct fisheries research and contribute to innovation at the HBO level.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of (sub)projects in fisheries research, following established protocols.
  • Focus on research related to passive fishing methods, including sea-based research in experimental and commercial fisheries.
  • Record data using software employed by WMR and process it accurately.
  • Perform independent quality control of data, identify deviations, and report them to researchers.
  • Provide instructions and explanations to colleagues and fishers about the required protocols.
  • Organize observer trips on fishing vessels, some of which you will undertake yourself.
  • Participate in sea-based research, occasionally acting as a trip leader.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Report to researchers and contribute to scientific publications, reports, and protocols.

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €2823,- and €3719,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 7). Additionally, a contract for 40 hours can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
