POSITION

We are seeking a casual research assistant to support the DECIDE-T research program activities. The DECIDE-T program encompasses a hospital-to-home journey, educational and peer support digital solutions, and a telemedicine follow-up program aimed at assisting families, caregivers, and healthcare providers caring for tracheostomized children. The successful candidate will collaborate with the research coordinator to ensure the collection of clean and structured quantitative data for the project, while adhering to ethical conduct and privacy requirements at all times. We especially welcome candidates with exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to work independently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • University undergraduate degree (health science-related field preferred) or other equivalent preparation
  • Experience in implementing data entry tools while maintaining data completeness and data accuracy
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the REDCap software system for data entry is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of electronic medical records such as Connect Care

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and verification – review and collect data from Connect Care into REDCap databases
  • Maintain and protect confidential research data, adhering to ethical standards and privacy requirements at all times
  • Recruit and obtain written informed consent from potential study participants
  • Provide administrative support and perform other research-related duties as requested
