Description:

PRB is seeking a research assistant to support several technical, administrative, and logistical activities under a variety of domestic and international projects (such as KidsData, Gender LEAD, MOMENTUM Knowledge Accelerator). Under the supervision of a PRB Senior Research Associate, the research assistant will provide data, analytical, research, writing, and administrative support for projects that seek to improve population health and well-being, as well as global health and gender equality.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, especially writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support KidsData.org by processing, analyzing, and/or checking data on child health and well-being.
  • Support development of the monthly newsletter, KidsData News, and accompanying social media.
  • Support the KidsData website through backend work, Google Ads management, or other website support as needed.
  • Assist with updating the “Research and Links” sections of KidsData.org by searching the web for new, relevant articles on selected child well-being topics.
  • Provide general administrative support to projects, such as: formatting documents; notetaking for internal and external project meetings with partners and funders; maintaining and sharing files and records; coordinating payments for invoices and expense reports for project activities, consultants, and senior staff; and coordinating procurement related to assigned activities, including development of subaward agreements.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for high-visibility, small-to-large scale stakeholder events, convenings, trainings, and conferences, including domestic, international, virtual, and in-person events. Responsibilities may include contributing to event conceptualization, planning, logistics, promotion, and communications; preparing event materials; arranging travel; maintaining and sharing files and records; and streamlining administrative processes.
  • Assist with communication and follow-up for different project activities with stakeholders and project partners.
  • Maintain editorial and event trackers and other coordination tools, as well as databases.
  • Contribute to work planning processes, donor reports, and monitoring, evaluation, learning, and results collection efforts for projects as assigned.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to and draft materials such as technical communications and knowledge products and other materials.
