Description:
This position in the Kadosh lab involves conducting research projects designed to determine the molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis. More specifically, a variety of bioinformatic, genetic, genomic, biochemical, cellular and molecular biological approaches will be taken to study mechanisms that control morphology, virulence and virulence-related properties in pathogenic Candida species. Many opportunities are available for collaboration with both basic and clinical mycologists at the San Antonio Center for Medical Mycology (see http://www.sacmm.org/ ). This group represents one of the largest mycology centers in the U.S. and includes 12 laboratories working on a variety of topics in fungal pathogenesis. This position will also involve preparation of manuscripts and abstracts for presentation
