QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced undergraduate student in 3rd or 4th year of the Interior Design or Faculty of Arts program at MRU, preferred.
- Strong interest in sustainability and circular economy research..
- Proficient in written communication, research paper and report (course projects accepted as evidence).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Salary: $20.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Net Zero Design Lab is seeking applications for the position of Research Assistant, Sustainability and Circular Economy. This is an hourly position working 7.5 hours per week. The project will start immediately upon finding the suitable candidates and will be supervised by Dr. Chi Dara, Assistant Professor, Bachelor of Interior Design, Faculty of Arts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interest in interdisciplinary research, conducting in depth research activities on select topics including sustainability principles and concepts, stakeholders’ engagement,business models, socio economic development, culture and technology integration, ecology, circular economy and circular community design.
- Proven ability to develop focus groups and interview materials.
- Design research survey using google forms.
- Create visual-based contents as research communication tools.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking research investigation skills
- Knowledge of data storage and proper management using google drive and groups.
- Attend bi-weekly meetings with the research team to discuss project updates.
