JOB SUMMARY
The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is seeking a Research Assistant for a project focused on influence and persuasion. The role involves organizing and synthesizing research evidence and practical insights on how people can influence others and protect themselves from unwanted influence.
The role involves reading, summarizing, and synthesizing relevant academic research in management, sociology, social psychology, and economics. You may also assist with subject interviews. You will work directly with the professor conducting this research and should be able to commit at least 20 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours, for a minimum of four months. The position has no term limit. The work schedule is highly flexible (you can set your hours), and the job can be done remotely. The pay is $25 per hour.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
- Exceptional reading comprehension skills, particularly with academic texts. Prior experience in reading, summarizing, and synthesizing academic research is strongly preferred.
- Ability to think conceptually and synthesize information from academic texts.
- Strong writing skills. The position requires extensive and efficient writing. Prior editorial experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactivity and being able to manage work independently.
