Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Applications are invited for the role of Research Assistant at the Centre for Resilience and Business Continuity (CRBC) within Cork University Business School.
The current situation regarding potential cyber threats has increased the complexity of critical sectors and infrastructure such as energy, health and transport. With increasing digitalisation and ever-evolving cyber threats, this represents an important pillar for business continuity management.
DYNAMO ( https://horizon-dynamo.eu/ ) is a project that aims to solve this vulnerable part of businesses. The knowledge generated by DYNAMO will help to speed up the recovery process for critical infrastructure organisations. The entire project is designed as a phased project, where the journey from concept to final outcome is a step-by-step process driven by user feedback.
The candidates appointed to these Research Assistant positions will be expected to support the PI on all UCC deliverables for the project and in the publication of papers from the DYNAMO outputs and related projects (feeding into the DYNAMO project).
There are five part-time positions available. These are:
30 hours, 20 hours, 15 hours,10 hours, 8 hours, each per week over 8 months.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AN APPOINTMENT TO POSTS ADVERTISED WILL BE DEPENDENT ON UNIVERSITY APPROVAL, TOGETHER WITH THE TERMS OF THE EMPLOYMENT CONTROL FRAMEWORK FOR THE HIGHER EDUCATION SECTOR.
