At Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, you will be responsible for supporting the improvement of the absorption science chemistry.
This includes a variety of topic with regard to the absorption chemistry and the bridge to process control.
How you’ll contribute
- Deliver measurable improvements in process precision and efficiency by advancing analytical methods and aligning them with operational needs.
- Achieve seamless and efficient operations by implementing in-line process control strategies that minimize variability and optimize performance.
- Enable the next generation of CO2 absorbents by driving their innovation and characterization, contributing to the scalability and effectiveness of our core technology.
- Ensure the successful delivery of team objectives by fostering collaboration, providing leadership support, and driving progress toward project milestones.
- Promote interdisciplinary innovation by contributing actionable insights in discussions about process optimization and chemical advancements with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Elevate team capabilities and performance through effective knowledge sharing and education, ensuring findings translate into actionable improvements.
- Contribute to the seamless integration of individual and team efforts by aligning your work with broader organizational goals, ensuring consistency and collective success.
Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables
Months 0-3
- Gain a clear understanding of Greenlyte’s technology, processes, and key analytical methods.
- Build strong working relationships with team members and understand how your role supports broader objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate the existing CO2 absorbent technology and in-line process control strategies to identify improvement opportunities and deliver actionable insights within the first three months.
- Begin contributing to ongoing projects by supporting team discussions and gathering insights for process optimization.
Months 3-6
- Deliver measurable advancements in analytical methods and CO2 absorbent characterization, ensuring alignment with team and organizational objectives.
- Achieve impactful results by independently leading smaller projects or subtopics that directly contribute to the success of larger initiatives.
- Ensure seamless integration and optimization of in-line process control strategies by collaborating with team members and proactively resolving challenges.
- Elevate team performance and innovation by sharing actionable insights and findings, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Months 6-12
- Drive innovation and deliver measurable improvements by leading the development of advanced analytical methods and next-generation CO2 absorbents, enhancing core technology performance.
- Foster cross-functional progress by aligning interdisciplinary contributions with broader team goals, ensuring impactful collaboration and actionable outcomes.
- Strengthen team performance and ensure project continuity by stepping into leadership responsibilities and maintaining cohesion during key initiatives.
- Inform strategic decisions and demonstrate leadership growth by presenting impactful findings, project outcomes, and actionable recommendations to management.
About you
- Background in Chemistry. Ideally including having worked on catalysis, organic, physical and inorganic chemistry topics as well as analytics
- Very good English & Communication Skills
- Basic Leadership skills
- Autonomous but cooperative working style

Noteworthy points
- This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.
