Description:

We are looking for a Research Associate Analyst to join our Financial Markets Equity Research Team in the Diversified Industrials and Special Situations sector. This role will report directly to the Diversified Industrials and Special Situations Research Analyst in our Toronto office. This position requires an ambitious and self-motivated individual who is comfortable in ambiguous, demanding and fast-paced environment.

YOUR TEAM

National Bank Financial (NBF) is a leading Canadian Financial Services company. A wholly owned subsidiary of the National Bank of Canada, it is an established investment dealer that provides research, sales, trading and investment banking services to institutional and retail investors. The firm is seeking a Research Associate Analyst who will work directly with the firm’s Research Analyst in the Diversified Industrials and Special Situations sector.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong educational background
  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis
  • CA, CPA, CFA designation is desirable
  • Industry experience and professional credentials are preferred
  • Willingness to work long hours in an unpredictable setting
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous analytical experience in equity research
