Description:
The Patil lab at the MRC Toxicology Unit is looking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher to join their team. We are a diverse team spanning multiple scientific disciplines, including microbiology, metabolomics, and bioinformatics. We are looking for a protein biologist / biochemist to work on drug-protein-RNA interactions in gut bacteria. We are particularly interested in candidates experienced in biochemistry assays for studying protein-RNA interactions, microbiology, and mass-spectrometry.
The MRC Toxicology Unit offers excellent research infrastructure and support for personal development. The project is in collaboration with Prof. Willis and Prof. Lilley lab (Biochemistry department) and thus is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with aptitude and enthusiasm for multi-disciplinary research. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline such as biochemistry or proteomics and have a research experience in protein biochemistry, molecular biology, and microbiology. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is required.
Informal enquiries are invited and can be directed to Kiran R. Patil (kp533@mrc-tox.cam.ac.uk).
