Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Department of Chemical Engineering is looking for a Research Assistant to work in the area of process, lifecycle and supply chain analysis for a novel process for low-carbon steelmaking. This is part of a wider project funded by the European Innovation Council called H2Steel (https://h2steelproject.eu/).

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

You will develop and evaluate the value chain of the biowaste to hydrogen and bio-coal process, to inform on its impacts in relation to the EU decarbonisation goals. This will be achieved using computational methods, using data from experiments carried out by partners within the consortium as well as in literature. You will also undertake project management and communicate with consortium partners.
