MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicant must have completed a PhD. (or completed all requirements except for dissertation (ABD) with completion of Ph.D. by March 2024) preferably in biology, developmental biology, genetics or a related discipline, with a proven capacity for excellent research that is reflected in a strong publication record.
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
Expected Pay Range: $59,091 - $65,00

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research utilizing cutting-edge techniques in microscopy, molecular biology, and endogenous genome editing (including but not limited to: fluorescent imaging, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning and microinjection experiments)
  • Perform C. elegans genetics (husbandry, crosses, and freezing strains)
  • Conduct data collection, statistical analysis, and data interpretation responsibilities as needed.
  • Support ongoing experiments in the lab and contribute to mentoring of graduate and undergraduate student researchers.
  • Assisting with support duties related to general lab management and organization.
  • Participate in weekly group meetings and professional training.
  • Coordinate and assure development of pertinent reports/data and their timely delivery.
  • Participate in development of manuscripts and reports and conduct primary and secondary data analyses.
  • Maintaining professional conduct that supports a collaborative, collegial, and inclusive research environment.
